About the Omwene Tukwafa Community Trust Fund

The purpose of the Omwene Tukwafa Community Trust Fund is to facilitate a trial phase for six months on a group savings scheme which can be replicated to other community groups. With each member of the support group contributing N$10 per month to the fund as well as contributions made by external supporters, interest can be generated on a fixed bank deposit to provide practical assistance such as food, meeting and schooling costs and funeral coverage for the members of the support group, all of which are critically needed. The funds collected will also be used as a means of securing an investment for development opportunities for the trust fund members, to initiate and expand on other income-generation and skill developing projects.
